Cameroon National Commission for the Protection of Children in moral danger, delinquent or abandoned revises the draft text on the protection of children.
The revision took place during the meeting of the second session of the commission held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 in Yaoundé.
Placed under the theme “Revitalization of the national commission for the protection of children in moral danger, delinquent or abandoned “, it had as objective to revise the draft text on the protection of children
Though the commission met the revision of the draft text, the Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Irène Nguene said it failed in formulating suggestions for the national child protection policy which is its incumbent duty.
However, in terms of monitoring and coordinating social action in favor of children, the minister urged them to use their experience and knowledge to propose a text that will reflect the country’s needs.
It was in line with Decree No. 0 90/254 of March 23 1990 that 30 years later the commission was established.
Their experience and knowledge to propose a text that will reflect the country’s needs must be used because no human cause is more worthy than that of the expenditure and the promotion of the rights and the future of the children, the Minister said.
